Send to friendRobi with enlarged product range
Robi, a specialist in the design and manufacture of a wide range of innovative machinery and attachments for demolition applications, has enlarged its product range considerably and brought several new machines to Bauma 2010. The new ranges include hydraulic breakers, multi-processors, pulverizers and cutter-crushers.
Robi also offers crusher grapples, demolition grapples, screening buckets, and handling grapples. Furthermore, the company now acts under the name of Robi and discontinues the use of its original name Ramtec.
At Bauma, Robi displays the following machines and attachments: An RH5 and an RH23 hydraulic breakers, a CG35 crusher grapple; an MP19 multiprocessor; a DG15 demolition grapple; and an MM104 screening bucket. They all combine a number of key features: Suitability for various jobs; ease of use and service; and high-quality Finnish manufacturing skills.
Four breaker models
Robi’s new breaker series includes four models, out of which two are shown in Munich. The Robi breakers are designed for effective action in demanding conditions featuring a strong and economic structure. They are offered with three housing options: Silenced box housing; side plates; and side mounting by pins. The blow energy is produced by the fixed blow energy principle. It is a proven and reliable technology producing a permanent result while not too sensitive to flow variations.
At the show Robi displays the smallest breaker, the RH5 and the largest of the series, the RH23. The RH5 is planned for excavators in the 4 to 7t weight class, while the RH23 is designed for carriers weighing between 18 and 26t.
The CG multi-purpose crusher grapple
The Robi CG patented crusher grapple is an efficient excavator attachment for crushing, pulverizing, sorting and loading of demolished materials. The multi-purpose Robi CG can be easily adapted to the required application by changing the jaw tool – a crushing tooth, a pulverizing plate or a loading cover.
The crusher grapple is well suited for crushing wood, bricks or concrete buildings down to 350 mm size, and for sorting and loading demolition debris. At demolition sites it pulverizes concrete and also separates rebar from concrete. In scrap yard applications the CG can be efficiently used for sorting and loading different types of waste materials.
There are three models in the CG crusher grapple range: CG20r, CG35r and CG50r. The letter ‘r’ stands for hydraulic rotation, which is a standard feature in the CG series. The weights are 1.8, 2.6 and 3.5 tonnes respectively.
Further Robi products
The other Robi display attachments at Bauma are the MP19 multiprocessor, the Multimaster (MM104) screening bucket and the DG15 demolition grapple. The MM104 is a new patented screening bucket that can be used for screening, crushing and loading various types of materials including soil, wood, concrete, bricks and glass, and other waste materials. It can be easily mounted on an excavator or a wheel loader. The MM series includes three models, MM104, MM154 and MM254. The weights are 1.7, 2.3 and 2.9 tonnes respectively.
The new MP range of Multiprocessors is aimed to a multitude of demolition tasks. The MP19 at the show is designed for primary applications and in particular for crushing concrete and cutting reinforcement structures. Its operating weight is 2,270kg with a maximum jaw opening of 859mm, maximum cutting force of 2,800 kN and maximum crushing force of 1,350 kN.
The Robi DG demolition and sorting grapple series attachments include 5 models of which the DG15 will be shown. The DG grapples are specially designed for light demolition projects: Wooden buildings, bricks, concrete without rebar, and for sorting and loading demolition debris in scrap yard applications, too.
Editor’s Note: Ramtec Oy is a Finnish specialist company designing and manufacturing demolition attachments and tools since the 70’s. The origin of the company can be traced back to the former Rammer company that later was acquired by Sandvik. In 2002, parts of the attachment and breaker component businesses were sold to Ramtec. The company is located in Lahti, south of Finland and enjoys a brand-new and most modern manufacturing plant, where the manufacturing process is based on the FMS system (Flexible Manufacturing System).
